The studies in Oreivystės Centras Pilot School is professional education. Pilot School prepares professional hot air balloon pilots, pilots – instructors and commercial pilots. Common subjects such as mathematics, languages are not subject of the School. Education in Oreivystės Centras Pilot School consists of 2 parts: - Theoretical studies and
- Practical training.
Theoretical studies are oganised on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays at 9.00 - 17.00 o’clock) and last for 7 weekends or may be organized for the intensive period of 10 – 14 days (for a group of at least 10 students). Practical training (16 flights / hours with instructor) is to be done in spring – autumn. The exact place, time and schedule of the practical flights is to be agreed with pilot – instructor.
After finishing the theoretical studies and practical training a Student must pass the theoretical and practical (Flight) examinations in Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA) in Lithuania. After the exams are passed successfully a Student gains a hot air balloon pilot’s licence.
